Hands-On Surgical Experience

The Surgery clerkship offers a dynamic, hands-on experience that enhances knowledge in both general and specialty surgical settings. Students will sharpen their clinical decision-making skills, engage in pre- and post-operative assessments, and develop a deep understanding of surgical techniques, patient safety, and the ethical considerations involved in surgical practice.

Curriculum

Mastering Surgical Techniques
and Patient Safety

This 12-week rotation provides extensive exposure to the surgical field, offering opportunities to participate in surgical procedures and learn sterile techniques. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of patient care in surgical settings and acquire key skills in teamwork, professionalism, and ethical decision-making that will be invaluable throughout their careers.
